CMS has 368 quality measures to consider

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid services has 368 measures to consider adopting in 2012, according to Kaiser Health News.

According to the article, the measures were submitted by government agencies including CMS and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, industry groups and companies, and academic and research groups.   CMS expects to adopt about 60 of the metrics in 2012.  The list of metrics includes condition-specific measures for conditions such as heart failure and Obstetrics, and also contains broader measures including several hospice and palliative care measures.

CMS has asked the Measures Applications Partnership to review the measures and provide input.  The full list of metrics under consideration can be viewed here.
